 "When I first met Anya, of Anya Kernes Photography, I felt an immediate connection to her shared love for romance, softness, movement, and natural lighting. We found inspiration after a quick season of rain - much needed in Southern California. Suddenly, there was so much life that came so quickly, nurtured by the rain and the season. We found a beautiful venue (Villa del Sol d'Oro), now completely lush with greenery, blooming buds, and a spattering of delicate wildflowers. It was a breath-taking setting for us to put together our vision - we had a flawless combination of luscious greenery in the garden, beautiful post rain lighting, stone walls and walkways, and gorgeous olive trees.  We were intentional in embracing natural softness and movement using raw linens, mostly foraged greenery used in the bouquet & centerpieces, flowing silk ribbons to put together a shoot that celebrated romance and the the beauty that comes with spring rain in California."

Malibu Creek State Park Engagement Session, Malibu | Viktoriya and Aleks

I don't have favorite couples with this one exception. :) Being a wedding photographer, I spend a lot of time with different engaged couples and can safely say that my sister, Viktoriya, and her beau, Aleks, cannot be any more perfect for each other. 

We took these photos in Malibu Creek State Park right before I left for Europe and it was so nice to spend some extra time with these two. It made me one happy girl to work with Mulberry and Moss, who created this beautiful organic bouquet full of tulips, sweet peas, ranunculus and garden roses. Veronica at Kelly Zhang Studio kept the hair and makeup so natural and flawless. 

It was a different kind of challenge photographing someone who is so close to me, and I absolutely love the way these turned out. I cannot be any happier that these two amazing humans found each other - they are so playful, loving, joyful and absolutely head over hills for each other.

In lieu of Father's Day weekend, I'm sharing the sweetest family session that I photographed in Tuscany a few weeks ago. Nicole and Silas have always been avid travelers, and little Solomon is definitely on his way to becoming a wild adventurer. There sure isn't a better way than Italy to start his travel training. :)

We met in the cutest little village in Tuscany, called San  Gimignano. All of those cobblestone streets, potted plants and incredible views made all of my Tuscan dreams come true. I have so enjoyed getting to know this adorable family - their joy is absolutely contagious and I am so excited to share this family session with you! This desert shoot in the Valley of Fire that Allen and Ashley dreamed up couldn't have been more chic, elegant and beautiful. They put together a dream team, like Layers of Lovely who created the most organic and gorgeous bouquet overflowing with all kinds of blush and peach beauties. And of course, it couldn't have been possible without that magical desert light that my film just soaked up and the wind that made everything come alive. I loved being a part of this little project!

Autumn Color Palette Inspiration - River Oaks Charleston

Beautifully put together and dreamed up by East Made Event Company, this enchanting shoot was set in River Oaks Charleston. With rich dark accents of dusty mauve and shades of red wine sprinkled throughout the shoot, it was the perfect combination of wild beauty and elegance like you’ve never seen before.

Every part of the shoot was a work of art and the beauty of it was absolutely overwhelming. The floral arrangement by La Fleur du Jour above the table was spilling out with wild garden roses, foliage and Spanish moss cascading down to the sea of candles that were sitting on magical clouds of Spanish moss. The delicate details on the gorgeous Alexandra Grecco dress, while paired with the wild blooms, perfectly complemented the surroundings to add even more dreaminess and magic to the shoot.

Autumn in Paris - Anniversary Shoot with Jessi & Braden

Oh Paris. Rainy, moody, timeless, breathtakingly beautiful - there are so many ways to describe this one of a kind city but nothing is quite the same as actually living, eating and walking around in Paris. It is truly a one of a kind place for lovers, artists or anything who appreciates and values beauty. 

Jessi, Braden and I met at sunrise on a chilly November day. The starting point of our shoot was Pont de Bir-Hakeim, after which we strolled through 16th arrondissement to get to Avenue de Camoens. About an hour into the shoot, none of us were able to feel our fingers, and indulging in a delicious cappuccino at a nearby cafe seemed like the perfect last stop. 

I hope you enjoy looking through our little adventure. After every shoot I do in Paris, I feel so thankful to be able to capture these precious memories for couples like Jessi and Braden!

HNYPT, Honeypot LA Modern Wedding | Angie & Eugene

I'm normally all about those gorgeous outdoor weddings, but Honeypot LA completely stole my heart! Once you look through the photos from this wedding, you'll totally get why. Also, consider this a fair warning: this post is LONG because it was nearly impossible to narrow it down with so much eye candy. 

This was a loft-style wedding was overflowing with greenery and modern prettiness. Honeypot LA couldn't have had a more perfect backdrop with all that industrial space, high ceilings and exposed brick white walls that complemented the decor perfectly. Angie has incredible style, and with the help of Just Married Events, was able to bring this elegant affair to life beautifully. 

Angie and Eugene are so fun, laid back, and totally in love. I could have photographed these two for days! So excited to share some highlights from Angie and Eugene's wedding day at the HNYPT - Honeypot LA!
